July 28th 2021 – 95th Birthday celebration for former band member – Sheffield

At the request of his family we made a surprise visit to Jim Hughes, one of our former drummers. It was his 95th Birthday, we sneaked in to play for him and the residents at the care home where he is living. What a fantastic afternoon, he thoroughly enjoyed us being there, Jim took part in our performance, including a short piece of marching. Thanks to the care home staff who helped with the surprise and also for processing our Covid – 19 tests on entry. The tune played is Highland Laddie, salute to the Chieftain, happy birthday Jim from all the band.
