Our band is proudly made up of volunteers from all walks of life, united by a passion for playing the Pipes and Drums. We warmly welcome new members, whether you’re an experienced musician or just starting out.
Practice Sessions and Contact Information
Our main band practice takes place every Thursday evening from 7:00 till 9:00 PM at the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Training Centre, Beaverhill Road, Sheffield S13 9QA. This is for more experienced players between RSPBA 4a – 3a.
For beginners or those looking to refine their piping skills, we also offer a beginners/development band on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the same venue.
The progression from our Tuesday evening sessions into Thursday’s main band rehearsal reflects our commitment to developing and supporting musicians at every stage. Whether encouraging the next generation of young players or welcoming those discovering live music-making later in life, we aim to provide a clear pathway for progression, a supportive environment in which to grow, and the opportunity to become part of a thriving community band.
